The Case of the Leg-Buckling Orgasm

When someone claiming to have been assaulted sues for damages in a civil court they usually complain about cuts, bruises or perhaps a broken limb. But in a recent case at Worcester County Court, England, the main injury complained of was an intense “leg buckling orgasm”.
The claimant – Mrs Bibi Giles – claimed that her gynaecologist had unprofessionally produced that result in her twice in less than two minutes, during an intimate examination at his clinic. She claimed damages of up to £50,000 in the first case in legal history in which an orgasm has been nominated as a kind of injury. Read more
