Gary Slapper, author of Weird Cases, describes the case of the gynecologist accused of giving a woman a leg-buckling orgasm.

When someone claiming to have been assaulted sues for damages in a civil court they usually complain about cuts, bruises or perhaps a broken limb. But in a recent case at Worcester County Court, England, the main injury complained of was an intense “leg buckling orgasm”.

The claimant – Mrs Bibi Giles – claimed that her gynaecologist had unprofessionally produced that result in her twice in less than two minutes, during an intimate examination at his clinic.
