Sex Educator Interview: Lolo Winters
Good Vibrations interviews sex educator Lolo Winters about her work and the most common question she is asked.
What led you to become a sex educator?
When I was seventeen years old I began volunteering with P.E.P., a Peer Education Program, where high school aged students visit high schools in the area and educate about HIV/STI prevention. The first day I joined, the woman who discovered the program, Wendy Arnold, came into the room hysterical because her best friend of 20 years had just passed away from AIDS. I knew right then that I was going to dedicate my life to sexual health education. I wanted to do everything in my power to educate about sexuality so people could live long, happy, pleasurable lives. I have continued to be a sexual health educator since that day. Read more
