Deep throat is a form of oral sex in which the entire length of the erect penis is taken into the mouth. The pleasure of deep throating is created by the ring of tightness around the circumference of the penis just below the head, with the most intense sensation focused on the sensitive underside of the penis where the head joins the shaft. Since the average erect penis is longer than the average mouth is deep, deep throat requires suppressing the gag reflex in order to partially swallow the end of the penis. In order to perform this type of oral sex, the penis recipient controls all the muscles at the back of the throat and flattens the tongue, while gradually inserting the erect penis completely.

To start with, the penis must be thoroughly lubricated. An erect penis will slide much easier along the tongue and into the throat if it’s slick with saliva. Since the saliva in the back of your throat is somewhat thicker than what you have in the front of it, begin by pressing the penis as far as it will just uncomfortably go into your mouth and rest it there. Pause for 30-45 seconds, come up for air, lick and suck a little bit, and do it again. After a minute or so of this pressing, you should have a nice pool of lubrication in your mouth.

The biggest obstacle to taking all of his penis down your throat is the fact that there is a bend of almost ninety degrees behind your tongue leading down into your throat. So the first thing to do is get the penis past that angle. You’ll want to be in position where you can turn your head in such a way that your mouth and throat lie almost in a straight line. The best position to accomplish this is to lie on a bed so that your head is near the edge with your body sprawled across the bed so that your head is tipped sharply back. This position will put your mouth and throat nearly in a line and will allow the penis to slide in deeper.

Once you’re in position, extend the tip of your tongue just past your bottom lip. Extending your tongue helps flatten the back of your tongue. Then open your throat wide as if you were yawning. Forcing the back of your tongue down and your throat open will counter the gag reflex and will create a larger opening for the penis to enter. Next, take a deep breath, and slowly slide the length of the penis into your mouth and along your tongue. When you feel the urge to gag, pause and hold the penis there as long as possible, and then withdraw it. Repeat this process as many times as necessary.

When you get to the point where the head actually enters the throat, you may feel a little resistance, and you will need to give a little extra push to get the penis fully in. It may help to use your tongue to pull the penis in deeper. When you reach the point where you feel the gag reflex, pause for a moment, then, without removing the penis from you mouth, extend your tongue out a little further. Then pull your tongue back into your mouth, pulling the penis along with it. Eventually, you’ll be able to take the penis in deeper and deeper until you can take the entire length of it across your tongue and down your throat. Roll your eyes upwards to prevent the tear ducts from overreacting.

DON’T take a deep breath before you push the penis back into your throat. Taking in a deep breath decreases the amount of penis that you can take into your throat. Breathe normally and stop just before the penis actually goes into your throat and you begin the swallowing motions with your tongue. At first, do not leave him in your throat too long. Bring him in and let him out. Deep throating does not necessarily mean holding your man’s penis deep in your throat continuously though you can do that as long as you’re comfortable.

Deep throating can make swallowing semen easier since the ejaculate may bypass most of the tongue and taste buds, depending on the depth of penetration at the time of release. If the penis is held completely inside the mouth and throat as the man releases ( i.e., with the woman’s lips pressed firmly against the man’s abdomen and scrotum), the semen may be released into the stomach without the recipient having to swallow.

While learning to deep throat, it’s better that you you control the depth and frequency of penetration. After you’ve become very comfortable with taking a penis deep into your throat, you’ll be able to accept a more passive role and let your partner control the depth. Actively thrusting the penis into the mouth of a partner is called irrumatio. An excellent position for this is with you lying on your back with your head hanging off the edge of the bed. In this position, your partner will be able to put his penis in as deeply as he wishes. This position also allows him to watch your throat expand and bulge as his penis slides in deep. The key thing to remember when learning to deep throat your man is that practice makes perfect. No one did this technique perfectly the first, second, or even third time they tried.
