Book Review: The Virtuoso Lover

Welcome back! Thanks for visiting.

happy couple in bed 150x112 Book Review: The Virtuoso LoverEvery man wants to be great in bed, but there’s very little accurate information out there to help men understand what makes them a master in the bedroom, especially when women protect their egos by faking orgasms. That’s one of the reasons I started this blog.

Michael Webb has been writing about sex and relationships for a lot longer than I have and has become an expert in the field, even being featured on OPRAH! So how does Michael Webb’s new book trilogy The Virtuoso Lover compare to the mountains of books that claim to make you dynamite between the sheets?

In my opinion, Michael Webb has outdone himself with The Virtuoso Lover. Michael has discovered, from women, what makes women tick when it comes to sexuality, and got their opinions, their ideas, and thoughts about what makes sex fabulous for them.

The collection consists of three books:

1) Secrets of the Female Instrument
2) Techniques of the Masters
3) Concerts, Crescendos and Encores

Right away, you realize that this is a VERY in-depth journey, spanning 574 pages and covering every topic under the sun related to sex. Each volume teaches you something valuable to you and your lover, from topics like: sex mistakes, how women are aroused, techniques, positions, undressing, and even thrusting methods. Those are just a few of the highlights. There are lots more topics covered – too many for me to list here.

Secrets of the Female Instrument starts out with a lot of mistakes men make and the fundamentals and principles of great lovemaking. It mentions something very profound when it states the secret to great lovemaking starts with the right mindset, beliefs and attitude. Men everywhere are trying to find the “quick fix” to becoming a great lover, when what they should really be focusing on is much deeper. This first book does a great job of explaining that.

Techniques of the Masters gets down to specifics: where to put your hand, in what order, foreplay, how to touch her, massage, kiss, pleasuring the G-spot and clitoris… You name it, it’s there! This book goes really DEEP into foreplay and sex with women. It will give you dozens of ideas of what to do with her neck, shoulders, arms, chest, legs, mouth, eyes, ears – everything! Because so much of turning women on has to do with foreplay, the book really goes in depth there.

One thing I really loved about this volume is “the paradox of trying too hard.” It stated that often men try WAY too hard and often come across looking robotic, not spontaneous, and nervous. Lovemaking is all about the flow, confidence and being in the moment. Sometimes being better is thinking LESS.

Concerts, Crescendos and Encores finishes off the trilogy by covering orgasms, positions, undressing a woman, sensuality, sex talk, and being comfortable in your own skin. What makes this book so special is not the hundreds of tips and techniques for positions and orgasmic potential, but rather information about mindset, congruency, being a giver, and understanding women on a DEEP level.

I really enjoyed how many of the topics seemed to flow seamlessly into each other and explain many of the more important aspects of sex that NO ONE really covers. All in all, this is an exceptional trilogy on the art of true lovemaking. If you’re interested in pleasing women rather than stroking your ego, then this book is definitely for you.

Right now, Michael has a special offer as a special promotion for his new series. You not only get the three volumes of The Virtuoso Lover, but you also get the following books:

I’d love to have this! The only problem I see is that I’d rather have this in hard copy so I can gift this to my husband. Wouldn’t you rather see this in his hands than sitting in front of the computer?

    Hi Andrea,
I don’t believe that Michael Webb publishes any of his books in hard copy. I’m personally a fan of e-books because you can download them instantly, but you make a good point. Remember, though, that you can print it out and put it in a nice binder for which you could make a sexy cover illustration or photo.

About Me
I came to the U.S. at age of 12 with my mother. We settled in sunny Florida, which was quite a contrast to Minsk. I have always been fascinated by sex and relationships. My sexual history and preferences are detailed in my post 100 Things about Me Sexually. Sex Secrets is where I share sex advice, experiences, news, and sometimes a little humor.
