Are There Dangers to “Sexting?”
Sexting is the slang term for the use of a cell phone or other similar electronic device to distribute pictures or video of sexually explicit images. You might expect your sext message to remain private, but nearly one in five sext recipients report that they have passed the images along to someone else. What do you think would happen when a girl sends her nude photo to the entire hockey team?
So does sexting — sending sexually explicit messages or pictures over those pocket-sized connectivity machines that I think the young kids refer to as “cell phones” — really happen? Is it a big deal? Yes. And yes.
